Visual Art Teacher At Louise Radloff Middle SchoolTeaching at Louise Radloff Middle School has given me an opportunity to create an engaging environment that challenges our students and promotes student learning.
On a personal level, Art allows me to be connected to my heritage and express the deep respect I have for Mother Nature. In many ways my spiritual home is nature. My great grandmother, Chippie, was full blooded Native American, and my grandfather’s family, the Gregory’s, came from Ireland. My heritage is rich with the love of nature and my artwork is a reflection of the energy and peace that resides within me. I have been teaching Art Education for the past sixteen years at Louise Radloff Middle School. I received a B.A. in Art Therapy at Saint Andrews Presbyterian College in North Carolina and a B.A. in Art Education at Georgia State University located in Atlanta, Georgia. Becoming an Art Teacher was a natural transition and has given me the opportunity to become experienced with a variety of mediums. Prior to teaching I was a Professional Landscaper for 20 years and still enjoy creating beautiful gardens to inspire my art. |
